Our Story

Principal's Message

Welcome to Roosevelt Elementary School! My name is Blake Maaske, and I am stepping into the role of principal for the 2025-26 school year. This marks my 15th year in education and my first year as a principal, and I'm excited to join the Rough Rider family. It's my joy to be on a campus with so many great things happening, and I am excited to see what the 2025-26 school year brings to our campus.

Our theme this year is "Constructing Our Future," and I look forward to working with our students and their families. Our focus will be on continuous improvement in teaching and learning, as well as maintaining a nurturing, safe school environment. This means building character traits, 21st-century skills, and social-emotional skills to ensure our students are future-ready.

As we progress through the year, we will focus on our district's core values: Relationships, Integrity, and Service. This focus also carries over to our school's R.I.D.E.R.S. values: Respect, Integrity, Determination, Effort, Relationships, and Safety-Minded. These values will guide every action and decision we make for our community, families, students, and staff.

I'm excited to follow in the footsteps of the great principals who have served here, and I will continue to help our students move toward a greater future through education.

Thank you for all you do for our students and their families!
Go, ROUGH RIDERS!
